I've decided that I am going to put a turbo on my 19.
My justification to everyone who is telling me I am a twat is that I love the car to bits and have already spent close to 6k on it already.
Il be starting with just the basics (actually getting the turbo and necessaries to get it going) Then be looking to upgrade the cams, pistons etc..
I'l be looking for a steady figure of around 250hp.
This is going to take a while as I will be buying a part or two each month as most of the parts average £400. I expect to have all the parts bought buy November. First up is the turbo (Garret t28). |

Hey, I'l be looking to buy the turbo next month. Now I've been following bb tuning for parts which recomends a t28 with racing actuator. I was wondering if this is really the best option or could I go for a bit more power with say a hybrid T4? Neal I know you have built one already so I was wonderin what you thought?
Any info is a gr8 help

I haven't built anything turboed, don't know anything about it.
Chet has, but he's Irish and you're better off not listening to a word he says. |

I see . Like I mentioned my mechanical knowledge and ability is somewhat limited but I like a challenge, luckily enough I have someone that knows what they are doing to help me. I have beeen wanting to do this ever since I've had me 19 so I thought I would make a start and start buyin the parts bit by bit. Its gonna be a tough but I really wanna push for as much hp and torque before me gearbox explodes. Like I say n e help is gr8tly appreciated |

could get bits for just over 2.5k then have most done by me and friends im in the process of sorcing all my bits for my 1.8 turbo (yes standard F7P lump) thinking the 1.8 will be easiest to start with as when i get board (or fook it up) i can use the bits on a ph1 meggy lump have a few bits sorted so far, and hope to build the lump for under 3k, low boost standard pistons 180BHP realible everyday power is all i am looking for |

surely then forged pistons, bigger turbo and ECU amongst other things will take it above and beyond 5k
i no where a 19 2.0 turbs is with 300bhp for 3000 pounds (if only!?! ) |
