That didn't pop up on mine when I searched earlier... curious.

That's money for old rope that - I'll watch it but i'm not paying that... I'd make one myself if I could weld stainless.

just make it from mild steel....

even if u use stainless tubing and welded standard, then it would last well over a couple of years.

mines been on about 1.5-2 years...mild steel welded with an arc welder!

The fekking price of that I'm starting to think that's the best way. Plus the one on eBay has blatently been bumped by a mate. Why would the same person bid four time against himself and raise the price from £30 to £50?

TBH I think the CAT is about dead anyway so i'm tempted to just fetch the flange and Lamda boss off of that.

Ahaaa I forgot you're also running the M3Dk aren't ya!

I'm a complete noob to mapping so have to admit to owning the Haynes book on self mapping so i'll have a tinker about tonight. Dave did supply a startup map but how good it is I don't know as we're also runnign slightly OTT injectors (440cc as they were cheaper than the 310-330cc's) so i'm gonna have to tweak that to stop it over fuelling too much. Also, should I be worrying about Bore Wash if it is runnign overly rich on a startup map? It's not going anywhere really bar reversing out of the garage and up on to a trailor and off again on the 7th but I don't wanna shaft it by letting it idle on startup.

I know I read the thread and you lot are like a bloody knitting circle once you get going but he must know what he's doing to a fairly decent level which is why Lotus and Haynes used him.

You might laugh again but not everyone is a fully qualified mechanic and I'm an eager learner so this book is a good place for people like me to start as it's not overly technical nor is it engine specific which is good.
