If you'd said 2 days ago I wouldn't have spent £420 on the GTS....
Wasn't the blue one a pain in the arse for you though? |

it was, its sorted now.
the white one is the pain in the arse.
Theres no problems with the blue one aside from the rusty holes at the base of the rear arches, ph2 chammy exhaust back box, drivers door folded back as you saw and the tax is up at the end of may.
It starts 1st time every time and it does go where I want it to.
Its got nearly new toyos etc on it. I'll stick a years ticket on it as well. |

I'll sell it as it has to come off the road at the end of may and an extra car sitting for a couple of years is no use to anyone. |

Right, well i think its time for a little update. I have been a busy boy beavering away on sorting the things i need to sort on this car recently.
I sat down just after i got the car and wrote up a big list of all the things i wanted to sort on it, and things i wanted to swap over from my hatchback.
I did a few things in the evenings after work:
- Installed a second 'symmetrical' foglight in the rear reflector panel
- New track rod ends and bottom balljoints on the front (had to go at it with the blowtorch for one of the trackrod ends)
Then the bank holiday weekend just gone gave me 3.5 whole days to spend just arsing about on the car in the sunshine.
Heres what i accomplished:
- Installed a second 'symmetrical' foglight in the rear reflector panel
- Sorted the bonnet release so it actually opens the bonnet (kinda useful)
- Swapped my sound system over from the hatchback, including installing the CD changer properly, bolted to the bottom of the parcel shelf (something i never got round to in the hatchback in all the time ive had it ), and the passive crossovers for the front spakers and dash tweeters. Thats a very fiddly irritating job BTW.
- Swapped all the seats over for the leathers out of the hatchback. This meant swapping the subframes as the hatchback is a 3dr
- cleaned the boot and carpet up nice
- lowered the rear torsion bar so the car sits level instead of arse-high
- swapped my blue hill power hoses off the hatchback
- Fixed the snapped rear bumper mounts so its now totally solid.
- various other bits and bobs
- Another little project, which i will go into further detail about later
Lots of piccies to follow when the gallery is back in action! |
