those alloys are crap anyway, they are scuffed to hell and the tyre is bald on the inside, so there was no point covering them, i will be putting better ones on. |

well today i have come across a few problems, first there is a 2ft hole in the sil near the rear arch, and the there is also a hole in the floor pan where the spring connects for the gear selector arm, the hole is about an inch wide, then after that i noticed that power steering fluid is leaking from the rack at the rubber gator( passanger side ) and the exhaust is shot to hell even the cat is falling to bits,
here is a pic of the sill
not sure if i should carry on with this project or just sell it for spares |

Were you planning on taking the engine out for a rebuild? Could do the rack at the same time. |

It can be done with the engine in, but it would be so much easier with the engine out.
Do the rack/clutch/cambelt all in one go and the HG while your there |

I'd rather take the engine out and do all those jobs in one go, than doing them all individually.....as for the HG thats only becuase if you dont do it, you know its gonna need to be done Pre-venting the inevitable so to speak. |

if the car was in in good condition i would take my time and get everything sorted including the engine but the problem is the shell its so crap as you can see, its gotta be the worsed one i have seen, it looks like its been used by a farmer that left it sitting in a feild for a few years |

those things will come up as the car is being driven ,thats normal for a non driven car for ages but once you fix it all you will have a reliable car .
tbh nobody would sell a perfectly running car to a stranger ,there must deffo be one or two things wrong with it at least .
it took me 5 months to sort the tungy chamade out and still having little problems now and again.
dont sell it |

iv been sitting in doors all day trying to think what to do, but i thing you may have convinced me to carry on, im now trying to find a rack, i will weld up the holes and get the underside oil sprayed once im done, this project looks like it will take a bit longer that i thought, i was hopeing to get it finished before winter really sets in. |
