I would go and get a quote from a local garage and while your there get them to work into that quote painting the roof / front bumper as well!
Might work out that it'll only cost you £50 to get it mint because you can pass the rest onto the delivery company! |

got the beast of the ground today to see what the problem is with the front end turns out to be the drivers side track rod, so that will be sorted soon as poss as my mate has a brand new spare he will sell me
also while it was on the ramps plugged the wire back onto the oil pressure switch so i have oil pressure aswell now |

ok more progress more of a case of this had to be done straight away
this morning i noticed a rather large patch of oil under the drivers side of the car so opened the bonnet up and oil was all over the bonnet, cam cover, strut and brace aswell as alot of other places (namely the floor and the wish bone driveshaft and block ) so i decided it must be the rocker cover gasket so i got one for £8 at a local factors aswell as a big bottle of oil
started pulling the leads out and they were soaking in a black watery liquid unbolted the covers and when i lifted the rocker cover off discovered that a quarter of it had vanished somehow and 3 out off 4 plug wells were full of oil so i guess that was the problem for sure!
anyways cleaned everything up put beter red seals on the rocker cover de-greased most of the top of the engine also tightened the bolt up on the end of the fuel rail as it was leaking! (one of fifth injector also fifth injector was un-plugged when i got the car ) filled the car with oil again, screwed the screw back up tight on top of the TB it ran like a bag of poo so i took the air filter pipe off and sprayed a shed load of carb cleaner in and all over the TB and held the revs quite high as i done it let it settle and now she ticks on a nice 900rpm insted of between 1000 and 1100rpm,
also fitted a aux water pump relay a drain sheild for under the bonnet vent with dodgy home made mod (came of a ph1 )
all i want todo now is change the cam belt quick time as its covered in oily crap and also get some new leads and plugs nd do a water system flush and oil change aswell as i still need to sort the track rod end |

and yes the car was running, hold the revs high as you spray and blip the throttle at the same time hold the black plastic slide and open both butterflies as you do it, it will want to die but soon as it burns the cleaner away it settles quickly |

this is todays progress i have changed the central locking pump in the drivers door as it was not working, tommorow i will be going to the scrappys to get a iggy barrel and pass side and boot lock so i have a full lock set with one plip and one key
door stripped
[img:640:480:0e241e3f1e]http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/621/02070614557ta.jpg[/img:0e241e3f1e]
old central locking pump (with everything still attatched)
[img:640:480:0e241e3f1e]http://img118.imageshack.us/img118/1087/02070614566lm.jpg[/img:0e241e3f1e]
new pump (on its own)

sorted some small problems out yesterday namley cleaning out my ISCV, TB all pipes expansion bottle - pipes, rad and flush out what i can... also cleaned as much oily crap away from my engine and bay as poss (carb cleaner-hot engine-pressure washer)
tried to fit my new iggy barrel aswell but as some numpty has fitted a imobo they ave cut one yellow wire and one orange wire so i think i will let my auto electriction buddy sort that un for me....
fitted a proper 16v drivers side window wiper as the other was to long and just plain poo....
and the funniest point was when some one came over and sked if i wanted some spares, why i asked? o because i cant get my car to start its like the imobo is stuck on ad engine check lght was flashing ... took a look and he was bumming over the cobra alarm and imobo... just pliped it doors shut un-plipped and said bump it... started straight away... so was gona be scrapped for nothing!!! |

first things first thanks to renault for building such a car as my valver!!
went all the way up and down the M5 and M6 fine friday (except the blowing exhaust and bouncy tacho) did usual motorway speeds for hours but come satuarday morning it was running like a lumpy bag of shite, misfiring and cutting out and genrally taking the piss! i put it down to the really heavy rain we had the night before but nothig was wet under the bonnet or in the plug wells but my number 4 lead had a slit in it so i thought better to buy some new ones as i have been putting it off lol..
put al 5 new leads on then the car ran sweet for about five minutes then started misfiring even worse and sounding really ruff! so after a good head scratch i thought best to ask the one called CH all i got in response was ignition module and so i changed it... never had time to test drive it so i left it in the hands of the gods but it worked as should straight away this morning so the mrs could get to work...
BIG THANKS CH
also some pics of the beast on the beach...

also changed the exhaust system from the down pipe back which includes de-catted cat (off spare car alreay bashed through) the centre section from the spare car and also changed the back box for some un-named 2 half inch (magnex i think from the common tag with just numbers) stainless, done the handbreak aswell while i was there (spot on too )
