That's rich coming from someone who rarely ventures beyond his front door! |

Ventured out to pick up the V6 today from Heanor today.... it's fecking massive!
Also my basket of a mate let slip how much I paid for it.... much to the disappointment of my father!
Getting it off the back of the van my end was hard work, took 5 blokes, a plank and a bit of rope to get it off! Still it's in storage at home now.
Now the fun can begin! |

Well I've finally gotten off my arse and made a start, not a major one, but a start none the less....

I've also started seeing a lass, which is half the reason I've had the motivation to make a start with it!
Hopefully I'll be able to get Mr H down here for a bit to help solve any technical issues! |

Day 1
Needed one of the 19's tyres, so decided to go all the way and get the 19's rear end suspended on axle stands, get the project officially 'off the ground' if you will.

Wheels off:

Also decided to clear out all the crap inside the car:

Day 2
Got another pair of axle stands and got the front end raised up.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v680/gentlebenny/V6%20Conversion%20Pics/DSCI00014.jpg[/img:ccf7b2f3b3]
Day 3
Started stripping off the brakes, nuts going through the bracket to the hub were an absolute fucker to get off, anyway a bit of elbow grease was all it took and now have discs, calipers and brackets off and the brake fluid drained off the front.

Decided to trial fit my big brake conversion too!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v680/gentlebenny/V6%20Conversion%20Pics/DSCI00018.jpg[/img:ccf7b2f3b3]
What the Valver brakes I'd just taken off looked like:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v680/gentlebenny/V6%20Conversion%20Pics/DSCI00013.jpg[/img:ccf7b2f3b3]
The 259mm Valver brake setup is now for sale, discs and pads are rusty from standing but will clear up after a few miles' of braking. Pads and discs have plenty of life left and this is one of the best mods you can do to a non-16v Clio or 19, £50
