Its not to bad a job either as I had a look last night when I was doing the brakes. |

You find me a 19 with 83K, FRSH and for £480. |
With no MOT, knackered rack and rusty arches you could have picked up a R19 for at least £280 less.
But, whatever floats your boat. |

Well I have done a fair bit of work to this heap already.
Now its latest trick due to the dog bone mount being fixed is it will no longer select reverse!
So I am about to go back out and sort that. It's fighting me most of the way!
So far today
Dog bone mount
O/S track rod
O/S steering rack gaiter
I do have pics and they will be stuck up at some point. |

Damn I look feckign fat! I need a diet!
Anyway yes use heat, a min or som from the blowtorch will allow it to unscrew nice and easily.
19's are a couple of inches lower than the clio! |

Well, not updated this for a while.
As most of you will now Chris has gotten the Clio repaired as much as he can, a cracking job he has done as well. I'll be bringing it back this weekend from the BSM - cheers to Danlp6 for giving me a lift up in advance!
So obviously this means I have to have some insurance cover in place.
Have gotten the car insured with Adrian Flux TPFT for £918. That's with the mods declared as well. Some of you old boys might say that's extortionate for insurance - I say it's a bloody bargain (in relative terms!)
Next best quote I had was from Tesco's who quoted £1400. Most expensive was Endsleigh who quoted £2800 TPFT and mods undeclared!
Paid the £250 deposit today (cheers Mum) so that's another debt I have but at least as of Saturday I'm covered! |
