what's not wrong with it eh schaks!
Just keep pluggin away, you'll get there in the end, and it will be all the sweeter for it, as youre cruising along enjoying the results of your lengthy toil, knowing you did it all yourself and the car is truly your baby |

i had problems with more or less everything to be honest ,had a water leak which i found out was a leaky matrix in the end ,had electrical problems and diy ed it with a direct feed from the batery , had a smashed rear door and wheel arch ,sorted the door and willing to sort the arch asap.
coolant system was full of rust ,flushed it many times and filled it with coolant in the end but now the radiator started leaking
one of my front struts is a non 16v one so that needs changing ,plus need to sort the gear linkage adjustment , rear end is lowered and the car is hopping like a bunny which i have been told might be the rear shocks etc etc . wanted to put her on road by the end of may but dont think that will be possible due to lack of money |

dont give up good man ,i know i fuckin wont after all the work i done on it.
by the way are those white stripes original renault ones? i got white stripes on my chamade and as far as i know they are the right ones and unluckily i am missing that white stripe on one of the doors which pisses me right off .
i cut a stripe from a white and stuck on the door but the color wont match ,now i am thinking i might have to buy a set of stripes and install it all around the car inc. the bumpers to get them match . |

hey there guys, well the new lump is in and is working spot on, had a few minor glitches though getting the old engine out but came out eventually, new lump went in connected up in 4 hrs filled fluids up and after 500 quid in renault parts it started with the first turn and what happens petrol pisses out the fuel regulator took it off thinking the rubber seal had split to find it hadnt so we put it back and now no petrol leaking so all goood , however we have a problem 1 is that it hunts at idle doesnt cut out but drops to 900 revs then goes back up2 1500 not sure what it is but have a new idle speed control valve coming soon, the next is that the ECU or the solonid is ticking not sure why any ideas doest bug me but rather sort it before it gets worse and starts creating problems for the engine.
now all i need is new disks sort body probs out get a s/s exhaust, induction kit and a chip and cams and tht should be it for this year
will post a few pics up when i get the data cable |

blooooooooooooooooooody hell its been 5mths scince a progress report went up on here, so here goes, the lamda was actually fine the ECU was the problem a p1 ECU on a p2 lump doesnt go, after that was done the car was fine, then thngs started to go rong with it, in this month alone, the splines inside the hub dissapered so had get a new carrier and shaft got that on, then the starter started playing up(asking for 285amps to turn) along with that its taken the alternator out coz the light stays on when the fan kicks in about 3 times, and to make matters worse the jack went thru the sump :@ so a m8 whos a pug specialist is comin over and wolf from here is aswell so i will post pics up on my new fone and get em up |
