the nearside track rod end is worn. The fail sheet says the steering rack is damaged and unservicable and the garage I went to said that the rack would need replacing.

ok, I've been told it'll cost about £100 for the welding. Good or Bad?
Also been told it'll cost about £250 as the whole rack needs to be replaced! Looks like I'm out for a second hand one or som ... |
