5 40 does make a difference at cold start or at least it does in mine, less tappy. but either way all the oils people have mentioned are fine for the F engines so its each to their own imo.

it was the battery contact or the contacts to the loom as i cleaned both up as they were a bit dirtyand it now works! ah well at least the motion sensors work again now

right, although on inspection of the actual IR unit there seems to be no water damage to the connections only the motion sensor board, and on the older key it looks like the signal is much weaker via ...

the actual unit with the motion sensors in is exactly the same but the IR reciever is different, the old one was brown and the new one is green and i'm presuming that if its that, thats fucked i cant ...
