I have stripped the 21 so have all the bit to swap and change, gr8 info.

You should have one with a tracer, could be red but I have a black and white photo (Haynes manual).
Anyway looking from the back of the alternator, it is tracer left and other no tracer on the righ ... |

Yeah, you need to make sure you didnt loosen the multiplug. Brake lights are Earthing through the sides. |
