just had another quick look.
looks like the guard i mentioned is actually some sort of bracket for the pwer steering pump.
Does the bracket come off or not?

yeah, pulley is off.
the water pump is a funny shape, almost "L" shaped,
part of it goes under some sort of metal guard and its impossible to get to the bolts

mine was leaking through the weep hole.

ive removed all the pump bolts except for 2, they are in ridiculous places to get to, just spent a full half hour t ...

yeah,
i think i'll have a look at whatever pictures i can, then take some hoses etc of my 1.4 engine.

the haynes manual is shit, don't show enough.

the other pipe i mentioned from the canister. ...

i had half hour today to have a good look.

I have an "evaporative canister?" which has two hose's.

one i think i'm right in thinking is the fuel tank return.
the other goes where?

As above, i bought a 1.8 16v clio mk1 engine.
I put most of it back together and have it in my clio now mostly connected up but i'm having a few probs figuring out what goes where.

just changing a few things on my engine and it needed to come off.
water pump. cam belt tensioners etc

I couldnt get the rear cambelt cover off with it on.

damn thing wouldnt come off so i left it.
i again about an hour later (incredible hulk style) armed with a big screw driver and an even bigger socket set.
Didnt quite go to plan.

some tv's have a standby warning on them.

if you leave the tv on standbye for a while it will flick on then off... Just to piss you off so you get your ass out of bed and turn it off properly.

no just the pulley, it just bolts onto the pump.

And yes its driven by the cam belt.

I broke the *%&*%%# oil pump pulley/gear/sprocket (whatever you call them) on my valver.
wheres the best place to get a second hand one?
or has anyone on here got one?
