head gasket isnt a cheap job, and the engine needs a new clutch as well.
the garages that i have spoke to so far are asking a fair wedge more than the 200 pounds i have to do these 2 jobs. thats why ... |

neal, i sold my meggy engine to fund some mods/ repairs to my 1.8, and them 2 days after i sold my head gasket blew.
leaving me to think that god doesnt like me :o |

does any one know of any scrap dealers/ engine places down south? i've been through the yellow pages today to see if any one has anything, and not a single person has a 1.8 16v let alone a 2.0 16v!!

dont know yet guys, i suspect a head gasket failure on mine, and with the clutch and moutings gone, i might just rebuild a new engine and drop that in. will save me some labout costs! |

excellent! blew the head gasket on my clio at the weekend, figured it may well be cheaper to SORn it, and re-build better and stronger rather than fix the engine i have. |
