ive found a guy in denmark who put a mercedes supercharger/kompressor on his megane 1.6.
it has about 0.3 bar in preassure and about 115bhp.
but that is enough for me, then i know it works 
... |

check your enginge mountings.
I got the same problem on my old R19 16V.
Check if the gearknobb moves allot when accelerating / releasing the throttle, when driving.
I hardly got mine into 5th ... |
