shock ABSORBERS dont affect ride height. There's no question.
They are absorbers, they settle at whatever height the springs 'are at'.
Hence why you dont NEED uprated shocks when you're lowering ... |

a cat1 alarm must meet criteria, you may be right about the back up supply.
We're talking about an immoliser here, which cant be Cat1 as its only an imobiliser and not an alarm/imobiliser. |

shocks dont affect ride height...
for example, my car sat without shocks for a week, didnt sit any different. |

checked all the valves and none of them are bent, and there doesnt seem to be any other damage.
So my question is, is it just a case of getting a new belt, and lining the marks on the belt up then ... |

i've removed the inlet manifold, fuel rail and injectors, TB, airbox, etc etc and the inlet valves look ok from what i can see. Still to open up and have a look, but so far things are looking ok.

was doing around 40, dipped the clutch as soon as the engine clicked and the dials dropped, and switched the engine off and hoped for the best.
so it's just valves really that are likely needing re ... |

not trying to be awkward though, but i still dont understand why the brake fluid level would go up, and not down if it was seeping through the seals? |

a rear wheel cylinder was replaced two or three weeks ago for the mot though. When that was damaged, it was a different braking experience, they were just poor. Now they bite under slight pedal pressu ... |
