Not sure if they will be any good or not.

If the nut is not overtight then it should work, but if it is tight i think you will struggle.

Best extractors i've ever used are the snap-on ones.

Yea, the smaller one was much easier to manouver, but i found the solenoid sits at the top when mounted as opposed to the side and almost touches the exhaust manifold.

Yea, the unidentifiable intermittent fault sounds about right.
Had one of them on every renault i've had, it's all good fun though. Dont mind getting my hands dirtynow and then.

Sorted now cheers.

Just the bolts under the tubo, then take the support bar out and remove through the off-side wheel arch.

Bit of a pain, but sorted now!

Well, the alternator decided to pack itself in today.

First thing, i checked the regulator, and sure enough, one of the brushes had completely vanished.

Popped the regulator from the clio in and ...

Hmm, it's just that i made call about a new rad, and they said there is two, one for air con and one without. The rad for cars with air con is £40 cheaper but he said it wont fit as it has extra pipe ...
