SOLVED!

Spoke to nick @ hillpower today, and he said that it is normal in this weather!

the stat will open, allowing cold water thru, it will then shut, and then heat up again, before opening ag ...

Well sice yesterday i have now replaced everything i can think of....

make yourself up a wilwood 4 pot caliper (id recommend the dynalites!) setup. only problem will be machining the caliper braket so it will fit on!

They should improve your stopping power no end!

Is it the top plug on the stat housing? the brown one IIRC?????

Im pretty sure its a 21mm spanner. I had to go and buy one when i did the suspension on my clio!

Like lunner i also bent an allen key taking the mounts off!

Sounds a strange one.

As for the oil type....everyone seems to differ in opinion!

I have had experts tell me that fully synth 5w40 is fine in F series engines, and others than 10w40 is the lowes ...

Any ideas what my problem is then?

Engine is running fine so CTS shouldnt be the problem. Maybee its just the coolant temp gauge sensor that is fooked and so thats why my temp wanders about!
