Hey, I see no R19 197. Bwhahaha.
But yes, it is a bit heavy on paper, yet the car as a whole is bigger so it's to be expected.
Be interesting to see if they release a 'Cup' version closer to 1000Kg.
Wonder how tuneable the 197Bhp engine is?
Nice power from a 2.0 16v tbh. Inlet looks similair to the F7P/R's |

i think renault should turbo charge the clio, they did it with the 5s etc,it would be more tuneable and probably get more interest in people buying it |

10 grand for a shitter mate, i was part owner, I built the engine etc and car was half mine but mates change especially when they are shipped to germany and take the fucking car!
besides the rs500 was a pain in the arse with the power, arse just spun up to easily and at silly speeds as well, nothing like hitting the limiter because of wheel spin at 110! |

4wd is good for getting the thing to m,ove quickly. It was terrible in the wet.
cossies are mostly buggered now, decent ones go for silly money, can tget a smoker (one that really does smopke lol) for under a grand if you search around. But needs 10 grand thrown at it to sort it out |

Hmm, would be nice to see but can't see it happening. Insurance would be huge. Would probably be too powerful and also I doubt it'd get a 5Star NCAP rating lol.
Would be nice to see a Williams style limited run perhaps. |

your right about the loss of control on the 2wd in the wet but the 19 is the same.tbh that cossie i am talknig about was crashed 3 times at a round about since my bro in law had it the 3rd time wrote off so your probably right again chris better of being a pu**y and going with the 4wd (especially if your willing to spend mega money on it) |

I see you missed the lol bit.
And anyway, I just cannot see it happening. A Clio 2.0 16v Turbo that is. Not this day in age. And not from Renaults best selling hatch. |

Body is made from recycled paper but the engine/gearbox/diffs etc are made from cast iron |

just poke the floor and it will fall out then change gear directly on the linkage, no stick, super short shift |

Talking Cozzies,
There is a place near Neo me (and Neo) called "Days of Glory", (opposite Westliegh school if you want to look Neo!) specializing in hot hatches etc mk2 XR2's, Porky 928, it has 2 original E plate 3 door cozzies ,one white £23,000 and one black £26,000, is the world going mad? I'd love an original RS500 and they are in good nick, but at that price? |

tis a shame 197 bhp and the performance is not much better than any other car but I guess that is the price we pay for safety. After all I would not like to be driving the 5 about without a cage in her everything is so flimsey at least a clio (mk1) was a lot more solid than the 5 and I guess the same can be said for a 19 in comparisson with the 9 or 11 and so it is with the new clio to the old etc etc its called progress. the thing that always gets me though and I do struggle with this is how manufacturers (sp) keep telling us that this new model chassis is so many % torsional stiffer than the old model etc etc maybe somebody could explain this to me, by my reconning a car made in the 80's must be made of paper as if you add up the % gains in strength the latest clio is about 80% stiffer than the 5 I do hope thats not a logarithmic scale as I would be really worried |

everything is improved over the old cars, they have to say it to sell them!
They can't say, chassis is the same, a bit heavier due to the flabby bodywork, not as good as ther old one but alright, buy it please. |
