Have read a few posts in tech forum concerning bendix brakes, just wondered if im being paranoid or should i worry ?
when i start the car they click away for ages
occasionally when in traffic they start to click again
after heavy braking some times they click
Is this normal ?
Do they really just pack up with no notice as one post suggested ?
I am picking up a company car tomorrow, so the 19 can come off the road for a while to get sorted rather than having to do running repairs as i did need it to get to work on a daily basis, so please any comments or ideas would be helpful

So i guess it is normal for it to be doing all that clicking then bbracer.
Was getting a bit nervous about the brakes going on me, was thinking about replacing the system.
Thanks

on the hatch the ABS before I removed it had th elight on all the time., took abotu 30 brake presses to get the pump on again. You turned it on and it pumped for 3 or so seconds and would not come on again for a good 5 - 10 or so miles of traffic light driving.
And yes you can one day be going down the motorway see traffic stopped hit the brakes and nothing happens. |

I'm having a similar problem this week on the ph1 hatch. Used to be that you turn on the ignition and the pump makes noise for a couple of seconds then cuts out. Just this morning the noise didn't stop for whatever reason, ever so slightly worried about it being the brakes and all. |
