Hi all, long time.
I've had this problem since I got the 19, but I've never known what it was.
I have had 3 headunits and they all do the same thing, play up!
They seem to be fine for a week then they start turning off/on and up and down in volume etc. Really pisses me off.
Any ideas what it could be? Any places to check wiring etc? I ran a new ground off the headunit and they still did the same thing, so I am guessing it's something to do with the (12v?) power supply?!?!?!? |

if the headunits you bought came out of the old renault master then thats where the problems lies. The ones fitted in the master were exactly the same as the 19's as far as i can remember, but they fitted them right over the heater matrix,so when you switched to hot it cooked the internals of the radio/cassete.after a while they started to do what you said.we had this problem with alot of our companys old renault master units(new vans now..lol).try and get one from the 19 or spend some folding and fit a after market model.. |

Without wishing to hijack your thread... Are the steering column controls a standard fitting on r19s? In other words, would they operate any other headunits? I'd like to get CD installed |
