ermm believe me, driving jobs aint all that they are cracked up to be!!
i have a mate who is a courier driver for target and he is expected to do up to 400 drops a day at peak season (christmas)!!
My average amount of drops a day is 36 but i do all of London!
I start at 5:30 am every day and its job and finish, meaning you get paid the same amount per day wether you manage to do the drops in 5 hours or in 15 hours and most delivery work is the same.
Then you have to put up with idiots that can't drive, idiot's that try to cut you up whenever they can, long traffic Q's to get from one drop to the next, customers that are not in, customers that complain you are late, customers that complain you are too early, damaged goods, etc etc.
my advice, don't do a driving job lol |

I'm always at work when anything gets delivered here and I guess the same must be true for most people, I have often wondered how many parcels the Royal Mail postman actually gets to deliver and how many of those little red cards he has to write out. And whether it pisses him off.
Apparently it does then.
If I could have them dump things round the back I would, but stuff always requires a signature. |

I do for bigger stuff that I can't nip the RM depot (just round the corner) for on my bike when I get in or things not being delivered by RM.
Because it's a high security site I have to tell them in advance I'm expecting something, what it is and when it's going to arrive, they also have to open and inspect everything (to make sure it's not a bomb or some shit) and they don't like me doing it all the time. |

I don't think they would find that funny. You never know, we might all have a chuckle about it over tea and chocolate biscuits and cries of "Allah hu akbar!" |

I need a new job as well. I only work p/time at the moment as I'm at uni but the place I'm at is shit and the people I get on with are starting to leave just now so I need to get a new job. I was looking into delivery jobs for take-aways etc but most of them need you to either be over 21 or have your own car and I don't want to use my own car as it'll just break and end up costing me more than I earn, lol. |

delivery jobs are nto worth the hassle mate.
You need business insurance for the car as well.
All delivery jobs apart from pizza hut make you use your own car.
Plenty of delivery drivers have lost their license due to no insurance because they haven;t got a busines spolicy on their insurance. |

Just come back from visiting a mate in Japan and over there they haev this drink called Pocari Sweat, its like a lucozade style water.
You can buy it in bottles or in sachets as powder. Another mate previously bought a load but left it at this guys flat.
So the guy in Japan posted it on to the guy in england, who is in the RAF.
While I was in Japan we got a call from the RAF guy saying that by posting the sachets of white powder we'd sparked a big bomb threat at the base as they thought it was anthrax.
hmm that story was definitely funnier at the time, sorry :/ |
