right. if i am ever gunna get this block of mine into my engine i need to make sure i got all the bits before i start as i cant have the car off the road for too long.
tryin to think of stufff i will definately need and then stufff i could get away with doing after...
list so far...
-essential-
head gasket
oil pump
oil (crappy for breaking in and better for after - inc. filters)
coolant
box oil
-non-essential but good idea-
rear engine mount
clutch
head bolts (current set been torqued twice)
driveshafts (current are knocking under load when turning)
cambelt (current about 10k)
waterpump
-non-essential-
oil pressure sensor
anything i am missing?

like I said before whats wrong with the oil pump thats in it? If its in tolerences then its just gonna be exactly the same as a new pump ain't it.
Use a new cambelt. |

well ok it could go to the non essential but good idea list...its just seeing as it is apart i may as well put a new one in....cant do it very easy in situ. |

JB, that motor factors we were on about near busters stocks pattern pumps for the F7P, just not for mine, bastards! r u still wanting to do it at mine? gonna start clearing my bit out 2night, so let me know. also sorry i never got in touch about the manifold, will give u a bell thursday if thats ok? |

ok maybe I'm just a retard but whats the point in swapping a perfectly good within spec pump for another pump which may be further out in spec than the one thats there?
Maybe I'm just weird but to waste money and take that risk is just sheer stupidity. |
