Didn't mean to start an argument about that, I was just telling them about my 197 drive
I know it does 0-60 in low 7s. |

For once I actualy agree with what most of them are saying on OcuK.
But seeing as I got banned and most of them are wankers, I won't continue the argument over here |

Hmmmm interesting thread on OC.
There are so many variables that need to be considered thou, even with a standard non modified car when comparing 0-60 times.
no two cars are exactly alike even from new, you could get two brand new ph1 16V's off the factory floor and they would both put in different 0-60 times, then there is the weather, the track/road conditions, the driver, how much fuel its got on board, the octane rating etc etc.
0-60 times by manufactors are a guide and must only be considered as just that, a guide! |

Ive got a Clio 16v with the same engine, the williams 2.0 as standard will only hit 136mph at full tilt from the factory. It might show 140mph indicated but it wont be going that fast. |
Hes trying so hard to know things, shame the ratios are different on the williams and its got a lower rev limit |

I think the pint he is mkaing is that a Clio Williams can only reach 136Mph 'factory' speed. So a R19 16v might show 140 on the clock but is probably closer to 125Mph.
Also, you're comparing two factors, 0-60 and top speed. Ok, important factors but they don't really 'make' a car, unless of course you're a kev who likes to show off 0-60 and 100+ Mph stunts to his neddy mates.
Would much rather have a car that handles and peforms in the corners etc |
