Got a B&M on our 19 and can honestly say I like it though at around 100 there is an annoying vibration which comes from the shifter handle and the cap so you just have to wait till you've gone to about 110 for it to dissapear. Some say that it shortens the life of your synchros and I guess time will tell on that but one thing I can say is that the gearbox feels better with the shorter throw on it.
If you do buy one though DON'T go through K-Tech as they want like £200 for it. It's good but not £200 worth of good if you get me. Just keep an eye on eGay as we paid £50 Delivered for ours. |

imo total waste of time and best way to ruin a gearbox apart from no oil. |

Hmmm, maybe I'll give it another while and see if I get used to it. 206 boxes are meant to be weak enough as they are. Only £20 to buy one for the 206, alot cheaper than the clio/19 it seems. |

Can you fit a B&M to a 206? I've not looked it up but I thought the 206 had a cable selector? |

Yeah it does look like a cable shift arm which explains the cheapness of it compared to the Renault one. |

that bolt onto the selector at the box end, you can slide the ball joint part up and down to change the throw.
The arms that clip onto the ball part wear on the pugs, the secret to get the old ones off to fit new one sis the blowtorch, heat it up the nylon melts and pushes it off.
Another top tip from The H |

Good tip, I dunno what to do. I might hold off a few weeks and see. Don't want to fuck the box up for the sake or a shorter shift. |
