Yes you should be worried. A GTi-6 will pan a Valver no problem.
About 30bhp more and superb handling. |

All things being equal it won't 'pan' a valver.
Trouble is valvers tend to be neglected and tired whereas 306s are looked after. |

Ben lets be honest that clio wasn;t the healthiest, it wasn't to bad but my chammy woudl have panned that.
i mind Soneji's 1.4 clio done a gti6 up a hill, fair enough george got a much better start and was away but still a car with twice the power should have panned us, pug boy wasn't happy lol
Apparently its impossible for a 1.4 clio to hit 120 according to that guy. |

Well we went and picked up the gti-6 tonight (i'd previously looked round it) and i drove it for a few miles and it is a nice car, good to drive and plenty of power, it will beat my valver but i reckon i could stay with it for a bit. very suprized actually how much power it had, i've drove st 170's at work and it would easily beat one of them. Hopefully it will be a good car, only time will tell! |

At the time I was racing Brian along with Neil_Clio on RSC in his 16v with a rebuilt engine and a few mods and that couldn't get near the Pug either.
Perhaps a 19 would fare slightly better but having been giving it some beans with one my money would be on the Pug every time. |
