My indicator stalk has just stopped turning itself off after you have finished turning the corner if that makes sense? It doesn't click at all like when you turn the steering wheel, so I'm guessing some teeth on some mechanism have snapped or something? If I got a new indicator stalk, would that solve it? Or, I'm guessing cuz it's a Renault, is it far more complicated than that?

I probably need a new engine or something Rolling Eyes

If the steering column hasnt been shunted upwards then i'd say its the stalk.

So what if it is rivetted? Not exactly permanent indestructable fasteners are they.

i reckon i could do it if i had to, depends what is actually wrong with it though of course.

Had this on a Clio.

Drill the rivets and take it apart

2000 little springs and ball bearings fly out.

And plenty of people have told me at least 10 000 000 times not to exaggerate. Wink

Good luck.

On the topic of indicator stalks, if my full beam flash works when the side lights are off or on, but not when the main beam is on, is my stalk nackered?

Cheers

note that when going to the scrappy, you can use the stalk from any old clio or R19.. they should all be the same..

Thanks, I noticed on Dialogys that the 19 and clio part numbers were the same, but I wondered if they were wired the same.
