ive got some fully adjustible koni shockers and 35mm lowering springs that i thought id have a go at a trial fitting to the girlfriends clio RT the struts look the amae in overall lenght, and other than being thicker they look like they will fit, first problem was that im gonna have to use the top mount of the clio to bolt em up thats all fine till i reolise that the standard clio suspension coils go in at the top, so im guessing if she bought some lowring springs and i fit em up to the 19 16v strut and the top mount bearing from the clio everything should be of right??
the only thing i can think of is that the knoi off my 19 was designed for a larger weigh car (ie the 19 being a fat boy compared to the clio) would this make any odds to the whole idea of me trying to stiffern up the whole front end?!?
also i seen a guid on RSC the other day about lowering th rear torsion bar, the RT's is the enclosed type inside a black tube, is everthing the same as a non enclosed type like on my 19?
and while im here has anyone got any good uprated clio rear suspension, or anyone had a good pair to use?
any info would be great
cheers

the 19's not much heavier than the clio. It should be ok to fit on the clio but they are different. |
