mileage isn't the issue.
Could be loads wrong with it.

ive just changed air filter, plugs, leads all 5 , dizy cap, rotor arm what else u recon needs doin? |

Yes, that's stock plugs. The difference for the bkr6 is the temp, is it? If I put them will it run hotter or cooler?

Coil, CTS, TPS, lambda sensor? Huge list I guess. Dont know what the general opinion on Champion EON plugs is, popped these in start of the year. |

yeah done the box ended up with a clio diesel box! the 1 that was ripped out of a green 16v was no good cos the speedo cable had snapped off right inside the drive impossible to get out without strippin it , doh! anyway ill pay for engine work i dont mind love this car, just need to know what needs doing |

the gearbox speedo issue.
If the cable hass pulled out but left the metal part in then screw a bolt into it and pull it out, always works, common problem.
What speeds does it get to in 4th? |

the car does about 40 in first 75 in second 100ish slowly in third then change to 4th and it dont go much after thatvery slowly |
