went out to start megane this morning, no joy. checked plugs and no sign of fuel. guy at sons college said it could be engine temp sensor. seems like fuel starvation. any hints as to where to begin.? 1998 1.6 ert sport. |

engine coolant sensor will not under any circumstances stop fuel.
sure the immob is off?
the immob cuts the fueling but it will still spark. |

pushed it and it clicked. dont know if it woz up or down. should it sit in a certain position? |

if it clicked then you have bumped it or the car hit a pothole. it cuts the fuelign in case fo a crash, a slight jerk can trip them. So if it clicked then it was popped.
They also corrode and can cause intermittent starrtign issues.
can you hear the fuel pump prime with the ignition on? |

have you tried to start it again since clicking it down? might need a bit of throttle to go
To rule the coolant temp sende rout unplug it, like I said its ont eh stat housing. |

unplug the connector from the sender. its inside the grey/silvery sheath thingy slide that back and wiggle the plug off |
