Once I've finished stripping the car how much needs to be left in order to get a scrappy to collect it. Mainly i just wanna know if it's possible to take the wheels off and sell em and still get it taken away without having to buy a set of steelies or anything. |

Well it wont have rear wheels anyway as you’re taking the rear beam off it aren’t you
But anyway yeah, you can usually just leave one bolt in the wheels then whip the remaining ones out and the wheels off when he lifts it into the air with the hiab.
If it’s metal they will take it. |

Yeah decided to phone the local boys and they want about £50 to crane it onto a flatbed, I can prob sell the alloys for that anyway so it'll be worth it i think. |

Pay to have it taken away???? haha
Yea, find someone who will at least do it for free.
The places round me will pay you if its going to be broken or take it for free if its going to be crushed straight away. |

Hmmm interesting, I'll ring around a few other companies then. They said they would have picked it up free if there was tax left. Thought it was a bit steep when they'd be making money from it. Was Billy Bridges up in Crawley (Pease Pottage) |

I shoudl have waited a few days on got the 30 quid for the xec, I let em take it for free cos it woudl be gone than day.
if you can get it down the scrappers yourself load it up with scrap might get a ton for it. scraps dropped back down to about 70 quid per ton again though. |

Might be a possibility to get a trailer and so just that.
Do you think I'd get away with filling the doors with hardcore? lol. Got plenty lying round in the garden and the local dump closes soon, two birds with one stone lol. |

they have a nose in and around it, you need to have all fluids drained and all the tyres gone (just take the wheels off and leave it) |

Remember when i took my old clio up to nottingham.
Parked it up outside my house in the afternoon, three hours later (5pm) got back to it sitting on its belly, all wheels gone and a note on the windscreen saying "If scrap, call Keith for free removal" and his number lol
That took the piss lol |
