Remember the shocks I bought off ebay about 6 months ago that never showed up? Well I chased that company for ages trying to get another pair of shocks or my money back with no success.
Now they are advertising more shocks on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RENAULT-19-INC-16V-AND-CAB-SHOCKS-SHOCK-ABSORBERS_W0QQitemZ260018140794QQihZ016QQcategoryZ10410QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Well from the look of the data sheet these aren't 16V shocks so I dont want them anyway but I thought Id have a pop at the guy again regardless...
Ask seller a question:
email to ebay seller wrote: |
Hi Tony
I just thought since you told me that as soon as you got some more Renault 19 16V shocks you would send them to me (to replace the ones that got 'lost during delivery' after allegedly being pallet strapped to a steering rack box but leaving no marks on the box whatsoever) and since despite numerous promises and reminders, you never gave me my money back for the ones that went AWOL, you might like to send me these ones?
Just a thought.
cheers

Dont suppose he'll reply but it lets him know I haven't forgotten about him... might give him another phone call in a couple of days just for shits and giggles. |

nope, you can only do that 90 days after the auction ended i think, i was in discussions with him for ages about replacing them as soon as they got some more in. It's a company rather than an individual, i got the steering rack from them too. |

Watchdog wont do a thing, I have been having problems (3 years now) with a Land of Leather suite 3k worth. Got signatures petitions, Wrote to head office, office fair trading etc etc no use, Watchdog sent letter back, we have had no other complaints so cant go forward with this at this time, I sent one back, stating I knew 10 other people who had complained at similar service and ahd written to Watchdog. no reply |

well its 'only' £35 and the steering rack was an absolute steal, so it's not the end of the world for me, just annoying. |

nice, best geta new rack then.
I have to say racks are generally reliable, its normally leaks that have them binned. |

my chammy has a bit of a wander on the steering that i keep meaning to look at.
Sometimes it pulls to the left and i have to hold the steering wheel 30 degrees to the right to maintain a straight course. Other times it's the opposite. Seems to have some correlation with the camber of the road too. |
