hi. i've just bought a clio 16v and fitted in a sub and amp with the stereo i got with the car. its a jvc 4x50w. it aint brilliant but it'll do for now. when i turn the volume up the stereo switches itself off! Any ideas on what is wrong and how to resolve this problem? |

wrong forum this should be in the tech Q's forum.
Anyway, unplug the amp then see if it still does it. If not then the amps got some dodgy wiring or your running it to hard.
If it still cuts out then chances are the headunits overheating and turning itself off to prevent damage. But it might again be dodgy wiring or even a break on the pcb inside it. |

sounds likea short and a fuse is kicking in or in the amps case the auto protect check for loose wires bare wires and a dodgy ground on the amp make sure theres no paint work and its to the chassi |
