Hi, this gives me grief everytime i come to it! I've tried the old chisel and hammer but only managed to get one off. Absolutely soaked it in wd40, heated it etc but what else could I try? Not sure how I could use a drill on it, the face is nearly non existant |

Screw extraction kit.
Easiest option if you can mange it is to drill it out with an HSS bit. |

if the screws chewed just chisel its head right off, its not bneeded for any other reason than to stop the hub turning when fitting the wheels. |

ok cheers. Well the last extraction set i got just snapped anyway, and i've just been to get a metal chisel from b n q and it was blunt within a minute! Always pissed me off. |

yup i guessed, the only chisels they seemed to have were the b n q ones though unfortunely :/ I've been working at it all day, got 2 off 2 to go :/ |

right got them off with a decent chisel but now my problem is the bloody brake line to caliper on the drivers side, The bugger is sheared and mole grips won't do it.

It wont come off on the top either as it spins the whole assembly and I don't want to damage that area.

On the subject of disc brakes, do I need new wheel bearings hwen changing the rear discs on my Clio 16v.
It's non-ABS btw.
