I got arse raped to be honest at £14.99. I've seen jump leads down pound shop that probably would have done the job just as well, but I wasn't near a pound shop.
First impressions were good, the length of the cable was good but probably far too thick, I've seen thinner cables coming off a commercial generator. Also the clamps were overly shielded and it was a little tricky clamping onto the positive terminal. They did come with a handy bag though, but are too thick to put in my spare wheel well with my other tools (will have to get some pound shop ones for them I recon).
However, it jumped the car fine. Serves me right for forgetting to unplug my 240v inverter and they will no doubt come in handy at some point in the future. |

Got mine from woolworths of all places, they were half price at £4.99 four years ago. They're really very good. The have their own zip bag and fit neatly in that plastic moulded pocket in the boot under the parcel shelf, on the left hand side, by the jack handle, right underneath the speaker - is there a name for this?
My point is, these (and a lot of jump lead sets) have the two cables joined together for most of their length, which is fine but they are the same length so there's always the danger of the contacts touching - why not make them uneven lengths and avoid this problem? |

I forgot a set when I was getting the black exec from edinburgh. Halfords 15 quid, done the job and I use them often. Most of the plastic on the jaws has broken off but that suits me tbh. |
