Not much to say at the minute, but it's a Phase 1, in silver, with 49K on the clocks, paperwork, taxed.
Oh, and it's costing me £120...... |

Yeah I thought of that but I could do without the reliability issues to be honest!
1.4's are solid, nippy, and the shell looks to be in tip-top nick. |

Thing is, most 16v's haven't been looked after, hence issues. |

This will provide the solution to a lot of issues.
A) If it's a better shell than mine is, then it can come straight off the road and have the V6 put it in that.
B) I can take the cylinder head off, have a go replacing the headgasket on it without worrying if I fuck it up, and if I can do it alright then I can take it off again, port and polish it and stick it on DKR 'cos it needs a HG sharpish!
C) Plenty of spare parts to keep DKR going, £40 worth of tax to cash in and a load of bits to sell on eBay |

Not updated this for a while, mainly because there's been nothing new to report! Anyway, to update you on the last month or two of news:
It went for it's MOT 2 months ago, failing on 3 issues all tied into a leaky OSR wheel cylinder.
I have since replaced it along with a new set of rear shoes and today I dropped it off for it's MOT. Pretty confident it has passed, although I wont find out 'til tomorrow.
If it's passed it will be going to my uncle. He has an old Audi 80 that was a minter til it was rear ended. Anyway he's only back twice a month at weekends (works in London as a steel erector) so instead of him continuing to rent cars when he's back he's gonna have the 19 and then if I ever need it back it's there if I need it.
Also gets one of my fleet off the property so it keeps Mum happy! Although it's only temporary 'cos I believe I'm getting a works' van soon! |

Well, Bryan has set himself a new record, VPM is sat in his yard still waiting to be retested.
It's a good job I don't rely on it to get me to work everyday, then again he knows that so that's probably why he's taking the piss with it.
My folks' BMW 325i went for it's MOT last Saturday on which it failed on both front balljoints, corroded rear brake lines and a parking brake problem and it was fixed up, retested and back on our drive by Tuesday so he can get his finger out when he wants to! |
