Hi guys. Got pointed in the direction of this forum, as i hear the other one aint up to much.
I dont drive a Renault, but im trying to help my mate with getting more power from his clio 16v.
He has a lot of work planned including interior and exterior but mainly tuning the car to get some real power, preferably keeping the 1.8 16v.
The original idea was to go with a turbo kit, but from what we've heard its not really the way to go. So, it looks although its gonna be a bit of a rebuild, cams, induction kit, full stainless system, stainless tubular manifold, throttle bodies and a final set-up/remap etc. at Dastek.
Basically just looking for your opinions. Is this the way to go? Where would be the best place to source parts/have work done, has anyone done a similar project and got some advice....
Really guys, any help is hugely appreciated.
Cheers

aye just like I said.
your right beside dastek anyway so thats quite handy for you.
I can do the headwork etc but only if serious, need a deposit. To many time wasters tested my patience to far in the past you see.
Also induction kit and TB's don't go, its either socks or better a fabricated air box which isn't hard to knock up. |
