just thouht id sling this one out there and see what i get back
i gotta take the head off soon its on my list the valves need reseating and new seals soo while im at it why cant i just get a low millage 2.0 bottom end and put on there ? now which laguna lumps bottom end is identical to the willys ? i mean everything, how do i know im getting an F7R bottom end
ive heard a lot of good things about umm i love my 19 its silly fast for a 1.8 but i cant argue at starting to pull at 3k i hate waiting till 4500 and 70 mph on wards to 120 is stupidly slow (granteed i was racing a 2.0 T impreza hehe) but still all things im hoping to inmprove with some extra torque
what ya think? |

well no laguna came with an F7R so no laguna in the worlds gonna give you a williams bottom end aside from a willaims.
The lagunas different as is the megane F7R.
I was contemplating getting a 8valve bottom end from a lag and putting cut outs on the pistons to allow the 16V head to go on. Lack of cash is holding me back at the mo to do this. |

ignoring the heads entirely here.
The willy has a different crank etc to the megane lump, megane also has a 1 tooth flywheel (well its lots of teeth but 1 missing instead of the 2 sections missing on the willy and 1.8's so you need to swap that over).
Anyway willy or megane will go straight on as will the 8v but the 8v needs work to do it properly but when a 2l laguna lump costs 50 quid i'd say its worth it but it doesn't have the oil jets fitted.
meganes the best lump out the lot only because of the superior head though. |

It is technically the same crank.
But you'll need the 16V pistons. |

you see what I forgot to mention and which I just mentioned to erm, the boss, is the 8v's run dished pistons. So the CR will be lowered and run cack if you don;t fit the right pistonies. |
