those clios are pain in the ass really ,i was out cleaning my car today my next door neighbour was trying to go shopping on her clio ,its a y reg 1.2 clio and the immobiliser is playing up all the time as she says and could not find the cure for it .the car starts up after a while when it pleases but untill then the immobiliser light flashes .she had to lock and unlock the car many times before it started up . any ideas tips on this one please ? |

and what are they going to do about it ? i read your article about the megane and how to reprogram the key ,does it apply to this car as well ???
and would it solve the problem ??? |

nope its a transponder key.
Its probably a fault with the aerial around the ignition barrel. |

you mean the aerial thats supposed to get the signal from the remote control to tell the immobiliser to allow the car start up???? |

aye, the key has a chip in it and theres a ring around the ignition barrel thats an aerial. If the signal from the key matches the cars then it starts.
But if theres a prob with the ring or its connectiosn the car will not go. |
