some ppl just have it all....
went to a meeting yesterday up near glouscter (sp?) the meeting is irrelevent, but the guy i wasm eeting with was well into his cars and stuff so we ended up chatting about that most of the time.
i met him a few months ago and noticed he had a lovely black RX7 so we chatted about that a while, he said he was just going to the nurburgring that coming weekend.
so up there yesterday, telling me about his trip...jammy git...said it was awesome, he was beating a porsche gt3 down the straights, but let him pass so he didnt get in the way in the windy bits etc....god what fun...
this guy also owns a new impreza STI, about 3 superbikes, one of which is a track day only beast...160bhp out the back wheel!!!! said he tried taping up the inlet cos it was beastly to ride.
last year he was at the nurburgring and wiped out his evo-7 which was brand new!!! heres a bummer, insurance paid him 17K for it...then they sold it to a salvage company in germany for 1000 quid! so he tried to buy it back as it was only bodywork damage and he could still use it for a track day car...but the salvage company said they wanted 6k for it! bastards!
also....for fun he is building a single seater in work, all ally tubes and everything, all designed by himself, ally honeycomb body....alight as a feather....its going to be powered by an impreza engine 
jammy git or what! ...oh what it must be like ot have lots of money on tap. |
