Tires under Renault 19 Phase 2

I got a pretty good offer for winter tires just earlier.
The size on the other hand is a bit different from what is under mine now.
I got under mine 175/70R14 and the ones im offered are 185/70R14.
They differ 8 millimeters in height, 185's are higher.
I was wondering....are they too high for the car?

you got loads of space in a renault 19 to putbigger whels than standart ones ,i used to have 175/70/13 wheels now i have 195/50/15 tyres on ,they are bigger in diameter comparing wih 185/70/14 tyres .so you should be well fine . go for it
make sure you tighten the wheel nuts properly though

Hmm, according to my calculations they differ in favor of your size Wink

195/50R15 has the overall diameter of 578.81mm while my 185/70R14 would have overall diameter of 614.42mm Shocked

i did not make any calculations to be honest but i know what it looked like with my 13 tyres and 15 s and there is a still loads of room .
people fit 19 inch wheels on a r19.
in your case the only change in the radius is caused by the 14inch wheels instead of a 13 .you should b well allright ,me thinks

the 185's are to wide really for the 5.5 width wheels.

Unless iceland got 6 inch wide 14's.
