Hello,
I am lost in the dark inside my Renault 19 RT '95. All of the bulbs inside (the ones on the top) are gone. I cant seem to figure out how to get the unit on the top apart. And i dont want to bust anything since its next to the doors remote control sensor
Can anyone guide me through this simple procedure ? |

I got it out easily like you said....but i discovered that the light unit is broken
The previous owner had somehow broken his antenna and never changed it (its still broken, but i will replace in couple of days).
Therefor water leaked in through it and destroyed the light unit.
Have to see if i can get one at the scrap yard. |

what do you mean with the light unit is broken ?
if the connections are rusty or corroded just wire brush them and buy new bulbs if necessary.
water leak is usual on these cars from the antenna and that can effect your central locking remote sensor as well .
all you do is take the nut out ,the one holding the anntenna plastic thingy adn get the antenna out clean all the area from rust ,apply silicone under the plastic bit while fitting back on .and that should be fine . |

Hmm, the connection plug is missing a pin or two, they have corroded and broken off. Is it possible to get a new plug and
"mix" the wires together so i dont have to go through the roof or where ever that wire leads |

yeah go to a scrapyard and cut the plug off another car then solder them together.
"mix" I take to mean to join them together. |
