booting mine makes the fan kick in which I'm not to happy about.
Normal driving its either at the 1st line or about halfway up to the top notch as you call it.
booting it
trundling along
Its settled a bit more but the cars not gone anywhere for me to really see. |
How are you getting 52mpg out of it ? Mines just scraping 25 now, just hits 27-30 when driving like a fairy. |

stan you sure you don't have a ph2 19 stalk?
52mpg was at a constant 50/60mph. It used to do about 45 ish but with the new stat its climbed up to 50 odds when driven nicely.
Filling it up with 3 quid when the lights on normally gets me around 1.3 gallons which gets me to Georges (60 miles away).
When I coast then reset it it goes up to 99.9.
If you look in my prog report theres a few pics of the mpg being nice and high.
Top pic shows 32.2 mpg and thats after sitting at around 45/50mpg then booting it up to that speed. I beat a 172 doing that btw. |

ahh well cest la vie. Its a clio they are strange little things.
the digi dash is different to the 19's btw so I dunno if you could plug in a 19 one and things would start to work or what, doubt it really.
Its a big screen just for temp innit, wasted space. |

maybe you should.
MPG is only good on the motorways, round town its lucky to get 30mpg. If the car goes the busy way to the flat then it rarely goes over 10mpg |

On a 60 mile round trip it got 25mpg, that was trundling along around 40-50, booting it once or twice. |

like I said before if the car sits a lot then its not gonna be perfect.
New stat, CTS, ICV and TB clean up then that should help.
An oil change also gave me up to 5mpg extra, revved a lot cleaner as well.
The oil that came out was nasty, treacle like! |

who know how old the oil and filter were on mine but I had been topping it up and had done since I got it which was about 8k miles.
New oil made quite a diff and now the tappets are bloody loud for 5 mins or so, but its quicker, smoother and uses less juice, the oil is still clean as well. |
