hi im new to this forum and could do with abit of help,
can any one tell me if i am missing a brake pedal spring on my 1990 espace. ive just bought it and having few probs. pedal not coming all the way back up when released.i have one spring on the clutch pedal end only. thanks to anyone who may help. |

no there is no spring on the brake pedal.
The clutch pedal sits the highest, brake pedal lower then the accel pedal lowest.
However if the brake pedals sinking to the floor and staying there then theres a hydraulic problem. |

thanks chris for the info on the brakes. could it be the servo at fault or air in the system maybe?. |

air in the system I'd say rather than faulkty servo.
Servo doesn't do anything aside from assist, unles its been very badly adjusted which if it is the pedal travel will be lots and also will have poor braking, very poor braking as in it will struggle to make the car stop at any speed. |

will bleed system and see. This car was never looked after before i bought it. overheated at first and blew coolant hoses. Flushed and renewed coolant and now this. oh well these things were sent to try us. |
