Hi all,
Iv just fitted a another (2nd hand) wiper motor to my 21t, the wipers are moving up and down the screen as they should but for some reason the "park position" is the middle of the windscreen ?????? anybody got any idea's |

aye turn it on then off. Motor off move linkage to rest position then motor back in. Should sort it out. |

did you fit the linkage straight in?
or did you remove th emotor from the linkage I gave you and fit it to yours? |

undo the linkage from the motor...switch the wipers on, then off.....refit the linkage in the desired position |

Yeah i remove the motor from the linkage as the 2 linkage's are different, |

take the motor off the linkage, operate it, then fit it back on. Make sure the wipers are sitting where they should be.
Should have came down here mate, i'd have helped and you could have met Mark (red19rt) and Alan (A14LNC) as well. |

I know what you mean Stan, but will that not cause the wipers to go either to far down or to far across ?, at the moment that is perfect, its just the park position thats causeing grief ??? |

like I said motor off the linkage turn the wipers on then off and refit to the linkage in the right position. |

Got what you mean now, i'll try it in the morning but iv got a feeling that the wipers are then gonna hit off the bonnet, i'll let you know.

when you turn the motor on and off it will go back to its rest position.
if you take it out reset the linkage so its right it shoudl operate normally again.
Remember the motor only spins 1 way, not go then reverse etc.
if you struggle with it I'll have a look if ye want. |

Went out today and done what you all said and ................ you where all right, it did work perfect after that so iv now got ma girlfriend calling me and her dad a pair o thicko's , anyway thanks lads for the info, i'll not doubt you all again lol |
