Take 1 postage stamp and write on it in inch high lettering. Thats how much I know about gearboxes.
The problem with selecting second gear at speed is now effecting third gear. Second gear is fine changing up at whatever speed but will not go in coming down. Even first is feeling particularly notchy when box is cold.
Car also has been doing something strange everynow and then, also box related. Pulled away today changing up to second gently. Feathered the clutch up like I was on a driving test. The clutch however felt as though I had just stamped on it and rammed the gears in and released it just as quickly. Was as though I had rammed it into gear without clutch, shook the car. Then was fine after that.
Any ideas? Why does my car only have trouble in the winter when its wet and cold and I have the garage full with 1x Renault R8 Gordini and 1x Pug Td engine change.. |

Car has got newish clutch kit. Could the pedel rachet type thingy have anything to do with it. What could be the remedy, other than 1x gallon of unleaded and 1x match |

Not sure will have a look mate. New cable would not hurt as I have been meaning to change it. Had a 1.4 energy and the cable snapped on it hence am always paranoid. |
