lets say you take your renault 19 16v and park it in your garden and never touch it ever again for a year or so .( remember ,you did not even disconnect the battery )
after that 1 year time what sort of problems with the engine ,gearbox, brakes , exhaust, suspension etc etc etc would occur ?? |

Wheel bearings, Try not to leave handbrake on, could sieze/stretch cable, flat battery, give it an oil change, HT leads break down, clean/replace plugs/rotor arm/dizzy cap. etc etc |

Left my old clio sitting for a year before i drove it again.
Handbrake seized (fixed it but it was always playing up after then)
Both front wheel bearings went
Ball joints went
Discs rusted badly
If you are going to leave a car sitting for a long time, like mals said, dont leave the handbrake on. Also good idea to coat any gaiters, bushes (basically any rubber) with a silicone lube, and try and start the engine from time to time just to keep it ticking over. |
