Ok, thought i would post a couple of pics of both my R19 16valvers
I am sure the white phase1/phase2 Hybrid will bring some smart remarks
But the front end has grown on me, i do like the combo of phase 2 bonnet, lights and grill with the phase 1 bumper

LOL!
it's losing the black chequers off the back as soon as this girl i know gets bored of them.
She likes them on the car, says it makes the car look 'different'.
She drives a saxo vts. |

heh, yeah the white one gets mixed reactions and today, i found another white 19 phase 1 (not a 16v but has a lot of 16v parts on it) in the street next to mine thats also got the phase 2 bonnet, lights and grill on it.
Maybe i have started a trend here in sunny southend . . . |

Yes it was, June last year.
it did not sell, so i emailed the seller and offered him £150 for it.
he accepted.
When i got it, it had no MOT and no TAX, yellow indicators in the bumper, the trip computer was knackered, sunroof did not work, all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff done to the electrics. but the engine, box, running gear was all sound, body condtion was good, tiny bit of rust around the rear arches.
Got it home, sorted all the dodgy wireing, had some clear indicators from my previous phase 1 which i put on it, took the working sunroof out of the old phase 1 as well and put it into the white one, swapped the central locking out, changed all the switches etc over from my old phase 1, gave it a good clean and put it in for its MOT.
it failed on an indicator bulb not working, the bulb must have blown on the way to the station. and the rear discs were worn.
swapped them out and it passed, been running fine up until the start of this year when it dropped the thrust washer and popped the diff circlip which is now done. |
