I've been offered a chipped ECU, now am i right in thinking that this would be set to the car, as i'm sure the car it came of had fast road cams and mine hasn't and this would make the fueling wrong for mine, or will it work lovely and give me zillions of extra BHP!!!
Thanks |

it suited to the engine that was used for mapping on the test bed, if its an "off-the-shelf" chip. |

i have a star chip in mine it hasnt been written to my engine mods, its sorta off the shelf.
i only found it really smoothed out my idle dunno why? the mods i have are: star chip ECU, ind kit, de-cat stainless exhaust, and thats about it off the top of my head, and i have got 154bhp@fly, dunno if the chip has made any difference? |

when i had mine rr, there was a clio there aswell, it was something like 146bhp (he was gutted that a 19 had more brake lol) and that also had a big loss as well about the same and he had 16's on. |

its bollocks mate...best thing to do is compare wheel power and forget their "guesses" at flywheel power. |
