if its really too bad scrape it all out .if you are lucky and can get the mirror out without disturbing the brown sticky tape behind the glass just stick an aftermarket glass on there . you will have heated mirrors.
but if not clean the surface and stick one of those after market replacement glass things again . that way you are not quaranteed to have heated mirrors though but they are useless for me anyway.
those glass replacements are a couple quid from motor factors |

I need to get a new glass to use on the chamade. I have the heated backing sitting in the hall doing nothing. I have a non heated mirror fromth e prima on the car the now.
Swapping the glass in my exprience means breaking it. So I will leave it till I buy a new glass.
Another thing I have only wished for them once, other than that never need them |

that should be allright huw as long as you can stick the mirror on the alloy plates strongly. i used super glue and my mirror is still not fallen off .
double sided sticky pad should be a better option me thinks but i did not have it at the time |

no thats the main point . you have to disconnect and cover the live wires(2 wires to the alloy plates ) with tape or smth to make sure they dont heat .
cause they will cause a short circuit and may lead to a fire or smth.
you cant have heated mirrors without the renault original glass
if you are too fussy,i know a guy on ebay selling valver bits and he has 2 mirrors as well . his stuff did not sell ,so you might get the mirrors cheap .he is in wales by the way |
