Chris under the screw down battery terminal on the positive side of the battery is it a normal terminal. I need to replace the battery but dont want to have to start messing with the terminals |

how r you going to change the battery without messing with the terminals ?
if you have the original red and green renault terminals they are crap .
you can just buy new shiny terminals from a motor shop for a few quids and replace the crap renault ones while changing the battery |

By messing i mean by putting new ones on the leads. Im lazy and just want to be able to do a straight swap |

its not a big job at all mate.
disconnnect the terminals on your battery
take the thick wire out of each terminal (you might have to cut them )
the after market terminals have a hole for the wire ,you just stick the wire in and secure it with the screw. |

yes its a normal round terminal under the screw downs.
You don't have to cut any wires, new terminal then unscrew the 13mm nut put the wire ring terminals on the existing wiring on then the nut back on and voila! You need to pop the earth lead green screwy bit off anyway.
Also if the batteries not been off lately you will probably have to smash the screw downs off anyway |

everyone should get rid off the old terminal they are crap, best thing i did car starts more convincingly and all electrics work better i.e windows are quicker, lights don't dim and havn't had to bump it since! |
